324,000 Eggs Donated to Support Fire-Affected Communities

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Gather for Good Receive Major Support from Rosemary Farm to Aid Families and First Responders Impacted by Southern California Fires

Rosemary Farm, a family-owned California-based egg producer and distributor, is stepping up to provide vital support needed as a result of the Southern California fires. In partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Gather for Good, Rosemary Farm is donating fresh, high-quality eggs to help nourish first responders and community members affected by the fires.

In alliance with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Rosemary Farm will be donating 270,000 eggs throughout February to support families impacted by the Southern California fires. This contribution will provide thousands of families with high-quality protein, ensuring they have access to nutritious food during this challenging time.

Rosemary Farm has pledged to donate 54,000 eggs throughout January and February to Gather for Good, a non-profit that mobilizes restaurant owners, chefs, farmers, and the food community to feed those in need.

Gather for Good was co-founded and is operated by Steph Chen, owner and baker of Sugarbear Bakes, and Sherry Mandell, owner and farmer of the Tehachapi Grain Project They have been collaborating with local chefs and farmers to prepare nutritious meals for fire-affected first responders, schools, city officials and community members across the Los Angeles area. As part of this effort, Winter Fate Bakes, a bakery in West Los Angeles, has launched the Birthday Cake Project, an initiative designed to bring joy to displaced children and make their birthdays feel special.

These generous contributions come at a critical time, as eggs remain in high demand and in short supply nationwide. Rosemary Farm eggs, known for their freshness, offer a nutritious and convenient ingredient for preparing high-quality meals.

Since 1925, Rosemary Farm has put the community first. “Now, more than ever, our communities need fresh, nutritious food,” said Tracy Ramsdell, Family Representative at Rosemary Farm. “We wanted to give not only to organizations distributing food to those in need but also to those cooking for the men and women on the front lines of these destructive and destabilizing fires. This is our way of supporting both families facing hardship and all of the first responders working tirelessly to protect them.”
