Foodbank gets large donation from local farm

There are a lot of good eggs at Rosemary Farm, and not just in the cartons.

Chief Executive Officer Scott Ramsdell and Operations Manager David Alvarez showed just how generous the people at the farm are Tuesday by donating 5,040 eggs to the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, just in time for Easter and the traditional egg hunts.

“We feel it’s important to give back to the community and the Foodbank is a vital organization,” Ramsdell said.

Rosemary Farm’s contribution is part of a national effort organized by the United Egg Producers and Feeding America, which the Foodbank works with to provide meals for more than 102,000 people in Santa Barbara County.
